Roofing marketing for companies that want the callback, not the canvass.
Most roofing marketing sells you volume — shared leads, storm lists, door-knocking scripts. This is the other approach: own the searches in your own market so homeowners call you first, and stop paying per lead for the privilege.

For most roofing contractors, local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation produce the highest-margin leads, because roof searches are overwhelmingly local and urgent. A homeowner with a leak searches "roof repair near me", looks at the map pack, and calls one to three companies. Ranking there costs nothing per lead, unlike shared-lead services that sell the same homeowner to four of your competitors. Paid search works well as a supplement once the profile and site convert, and after a storm when demand spikes faster than rankings can move.
What actually gets a roofing company ranking
Cost content that wins the research phase
Roof replacement is a five-figure decision, so homeowners research price for weeks before calling. Publishing real cost ranges by roof type and square footage captures them early — most roofers refuse to, which is exactly why it works.
A page for every town you roof in
You cover a whole metro from one office, but Google ranks pages, not intentions. Genuine pages for each city and suburb are how you appear across the territory instead of only your home town.
Storm-ready infrastructure
When hail hits, search volume spikes for a fortnight. Rankings cannot be built in that window — but a site already ranking, plus a paid campaign that can be switched on in an hour, captures it.
Speed-to-lead automation
A leaking roof is an emergency. Missed-call text-back and instant lead notification matter more here than in almost any other trade, because the homeowner is calling down a list until someone answers.
Review generation after every job
Roofing reviews carry unusual weight because the purchase is high-risk and infrequent. Automated requests after completion compound into map-pack position.
Insurance and financing pages
A large share of roofing searches involve insurance claims. Pages that explain the claim process honestly attract exactly the homeowners about to spend the most.
Why buying roofing leads keeps getting more expensive
The economics of shared leads only move in one direction. The platform sells the same homeowner to multiple contractors, so your close rate is capped no matter how good you are, and the price per lead rises as more roofers join the platform. You are renting access to a customer who was never yours.
Organic search inverts that. A roofing company ranking in the map pack for its own county pays nothing per lead, gets the homeowner exclusively, and keeps the asset if it stops paying an agency. That is the entire argument for local SEO in this trade — not that it is cheaper per month, but that it compounds instead of resetting.
- Shared leads: pay per lead, compete with 3–4 roofers, price rises over time
- Storm chasing: high volume, no residual, collapses when the weather moves on
- Organic search: no cost per lead, exclusive contact, compounds month over month
- Paid search: instant, controllable, best used to cover gaps and storm spikes
What I bring to roofing specifically
Straight answer: Brandloc does not currently have a roofing client. I spent more than a decade running marketing in-house at a contracting company — not an agency, in-house, responsible for the phone actually ringing — and the work that generates a foundation repair or land clearing lead is structurally the same work that generates a roofing lead. Local intent, high ticket, urgent, review-driven, map-pack dominated.
What differs is the vocabulary, the seasonality and the insurance angle, and those are learnable in a week. I would rather tell you that plainly than show you a case study from a trade I have never worked in and let you assume otherwise.
Roofing marketing — common questions
How much does roofing marketing cost?
Brandloc plans run $497 to $1,997 per month, month-to-month, with a one-time setup fee. Most roofing companies start on Foundation — website, Google Business Profile, local SEO, CRM and review generation — and review whether paid ads should be added at day 90 once there is real data. Ad spend, if you run it, is paid directly to Google and is separate from the retainer.
How long before a roofing company sees results?
Google Business Profile improvements can move map-pack position within weeks. Organic rankings for competitive terms like "roof replacement [city]" typically take 60 to 90 days to show real movement and continue compounding after that. Paid search produces leads within days if you want volume sooner. Anyone promising page one in thirty days for a competitive roofing term is guessing.
Is SEO or paid advertising better for roofers?
Both, in that order. SEO produces the better economics because you stop paying per lead, but it takes a quarter to build. Paid search produces leads immediately but stops the moment you stop paying. The sequence that works is: fix the site and profile, earn the organic base, then layer paid on top to cover gaps and storm spikes rather than to carry the whole business.
Do you work with storm-chasing roofing companies?
No. The system is built for established roofers who work a defined territory and want that territory to keep producing next year. If your model is following weather events across states, a locally-ranked website is the wrong tool and I would be taking your money for something you will not use.
Will you work with my competitors?
No. One roofing client per service area. If I am ranking you in your metro, I am not helping the roofer across town outrank you.
Do you have roofing clients?
Not currently. Brandloc works with contractors across land clearing, forestry, excavation, remodeling and general contracting, and the results on this page come from those trades. I would rather say that outright than imply roofing experience I do not have. If you want a marketing partner who has already run a hundred roofing accounts, there are agencies that specialise. If you want someone who spent ten years in-house making a contractor phone ring and will learn your trade properly, that is what this is.
